4 good real ales, great menu, well cooked with proper homemade chips and loads of them , heaven. So much tastier and digestible than frozen, it's worth just going there for the chips, so rare in many places. The steak was big and perfectly cooked, the service was spot, didn't wait to order nor receive.

Really lovely pub meal with friends, HUGE menu with something for everyone, staff are always so helpful and respectful and the foods always served with a smile…what more can you ask for! Oh and the sweats are delicious 😋

Popular pub in Bishop Auckland that doesn't disappoint on service, value or quality. You may need to make a reservation, but it's definitely worth it. Enjoyed the Penne Arabiatta, which was nice and spicy. Asked for a side of chips and wow ... What a large portion of chips and they're very tasty also. Definitely worth a visit.

What can I say? WOW, what a fantastic place to eat. We needed to book and I understand why when we arrived it was fully booked. We were shown to our table and the staff were lovely. The food was very reasonably priced and it was fantastic. The portion sizes are huge (as you will see in photo's) it was hot and presentation was lovely. Very highly recommended, just a word of warning - wear loose fitting clothes haha.

Never fail to have a wonderful meal and experience - greeted with smiles and attentive staff - no matter how busy they are! Steaks are second to non! Great choice of menu for all and is the only place my mum does not complain about lol ! Thanks again to a great team ! We will be back soon !!
